This page sets out the terms between Piano Movers Fort Lauderdale — a licensed household-goods mover working out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida — and you, and they apply both to this website and to every move our crews run. What the agreement covers
This document reaches two things at once: the way you use the site, and the moving, packing, piano, and storage work we carry out. That work spans Fort Lauderdale and the rest of Broward County, rides the freight elevators in the Intracoastal and downtown condo towers, climbs the staircases in Victoria Park and Sailboat Bend, reaches the waterfront estates on Las Olas and Harbor Beach, and stretches past the region on long-distance hauls.
We hold licensing at both levels — FDACS IM3142 inside Florida, and USDOT/MC operating authority across state lines — and every job runs on company-owned trucks staffed by W-2 crews. Brokering the work or handing it down to some other carrier isn’t how we operate — it never has been.
How the figure comes together
Every detail you give us feeds the written number: the two addresses, the floor and elevator at each end, the curb and parking access, any staircase, anything heavy or oversized — a grand, an upright, an organ, a gun safe — and the date. What lands on paper matches the move you laid out for us, dead on — nothing padded, nothing shaved.
Since the number is built on those facts, a genuine surprise on the day will shift it. Say the staircase never got mentioned, the address changed, or the load turns out half again heavier than described — Sal pauses the crew, walks you through the revised figure in person, and waits for your okay before a single dolly rolls, rather than slipping a charge on quietly at the curb. And asking for a quote books nothing on its own; the slot is yours only after our office writes back to confirm it.
Holding a date, and letting one go
A move date goes to the household that actually locks it in, not to whoever happened to inquire first. Things change — if your date has to move or come off the books entirely, the sooner you let us know, the better the chance another Broward family can pick up the day you’re releasing. Any deposit terms and the exact cancellation rules tied to your particular job live in your quote or your signed move agreement, laid out plainly for you to read — we don’t bury them in fine print down here.
What we rely on from you
- Give us the honest shape of the move — the room count, the rough weight, and which pieces are awkward to carry, the piano included
- Flag the floor, the elevator, the staircases, the parking limits, and anything fragile or oversized from the outset
- Handle whatever building, condo, or HOA approval falls beyond the COI and elevator booking we set up
- Keep the path lawful and clear for the crew at both the loading and the unloading ends
If something goes missing or gets damaged
How far our responsibility extends on loss or damage depends on the coverage level you pick and on the federal and state rules tied to it. The free option is released-value coverage, fixing the floor at 60 cents per pound on any item; pay a little above that and full-value coverage steps in, and we carry $1 million in cargo coverage besides. Any claim has to come to us in writing; for an interstate move, you generally have about nine months from the delivery date to file it.
