Local Movers in Fort Lauderdale & Broward

On our own trucks with W-2 movers out of Fort Lauderdale, we carry your home across Broward for one flat written rate, the COI pulled and the freight-elevator window booked before the day.

See the number before you sign

Tell us below what has to move, and our Fort Lauderdale team usually has one written flat figure back to you before the day is out.

Or call (888) 278-9005

Press send and what you typed drops straight onto a desk inside our Fort Lauderdale office, where your written rate gets worked up and sent back, usually landing with you before the day is out. Asking for that figure costs you nothing and ties you to nothing — take all the time you need with it, because the call to book or walk away is fully yours. The person putting your quote together is one of our own estimators and nobody else, and what you tell us goes no further than that desk.

Local moves in Broward

Dominic Russo opened the doors in 2011 with a piano board and one truck, and the Fort Lauderdale standard has held ever since: our own W-2 crew, our own trucks, one flat rate you can hold us to.

What a flat written rate buys you

The movers at your door are uniformed Piano Movers Fort Lauderdale employees on trucks we own, not names off a load board. The number Carla writes the day you book is the number you settle at the end, even if the freight elevator runs slow or the Las Olas garage is tighter than it looked.

Move day, hour by hour

  1. Walk-through A phone or video tour of the home so the written figure matches what is actually going on the truck.
  2. Access locked in Carla pulls the building COI and Sal reserves the freight-elevator window days ahead of the date.
  3. Pad and wrap Every piece is blanketed and shrink-wrapped on the floor before it heads for the ramp.
  4. Carry and load Andre’s crew works the staircase or the tower elevator, the heavy and the fragile handled the same careful way.
  5. Set and rebuild Beds and tables go back together at the new place, and the closing total reads exactly like the figure you signed.

Where our trucks run

Andre Beaumont has the Intracoastal towers, the Las Olas estates, and the Victoria Park staircases memorized, so a freight-elevator window or a tight 1920s stairwell is just another Broward Tuesday.

Fort Lauderdale since 2011

Dominic still runs the grand-piano and high-rise jobs himself, so the person who quotes your move is the same owner who drives these streets in every hurricane season. That is why Broward keeps calling back.

Part of the job

What the crew handles

  • One flat rate locked in writing the day you book, with stairs, fuel, and wrapping already inside it

  • Movers on our own W-2 payroll riding our trucks, never a broker, a load board, or a subcontractor

  • Blankets, dollies, straps, and shrink-wrap counted into the number, not itemized on move day

  • Beds, dressers, and tables broken down at the old home and rebuilt at the new

  • Carla pulling the building Certificate of Insurance and Sal reserving the elevator window days ahead

  • Coverage from Fort Lauderdale through Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Plantation, Davie, Sunrise, and Weston

  • A piano specialist on call when the home has a grand, a baby grand, or an upright to move

  • Flat and hourly figures drawn up side by side, with you keeping whichever runs lower

Hourly-Rate Crews

Starting from$120/hr

Wrapped into that Fort Lauderdale hourly rate from the start: a two-mover team on a three-hour minimum, the truck pulled up at your building, and all the equipment that comes along — quilted pads, straps, ramps, dollies, and the floor runners we lay down over the tile and hardwood you find in a condo or single-story home. None of that turns up later as an extra charge, because all of it is already folded into the figure we quote you.

A free estimate, handled by our own movers

Tell us what you are working with. In Fort Lauderdale that could mean coaxing a baby grand out of a high-rise condo or guiding an upright down a narrow stairwell — and however the day unfolds, one W-2 crew carries it from the first box to the last while the written rate holds steady throughout.

Questions that come up a lot

Good to know before the truck rolls

How do you set my local price?
Three things drive it: the home, the access at both ends, and the distance to the new address, plus any high-rise elevator or piano that needs a specialist. The flat amount goes in writing ahead of the date and stays put from there on. Should a smaller load price out cheaper by the hour, which runs $140 an hour for two movers on a two-hour minimum, we line that figure up next to the flat one and you keep whichever is lower. Once the crew is loading, neither figure moves an inch.
Who handles the COI and the freight elevator in my building?
Carla Mendez takes care of all of it. Days before the date she pulls the Certificate of Insurance the Intracoastal and Las Olas towers demand, and Sal reserves the freight-elevator window so the truck is never turned away at the gate. Should a building insist on its own form instead, that one comes straight to Carla as well. The classic Broward delay is cleared before we pull up.
Do you move pianos on a local job?
We do, and it is what we are known for. We started in 2011 moving grands and baby grands, so if your home has a piano, an upright, or a church organ, Victor Pratt and the specialist crew board it and carry it up the tower or down the staircase as part of the same flat rate. Most general movers hand that piece to a third party, but we never let day-labor near an instrument.
How early do I need to reserve my moving day?
The sooner the better, and that goes double from December through April when the snowbirds are in town and the towers are busy. Give Carla your date and she pins down the slot, the written number, and the freight-elevator window within the week, then holds all three steady. For hurricane-season dates we leave some slack in case a storm or a slipped closing shifts the schedule.
