Loading & Unloading Help in Fort Lauderdale

By the hour, our crew loads or unloads your rental truck, pod, or container, fast and careful, everything tiered and tied to ride out the I-95 and Turnpike haul.

See the number before you sign

Tell us below what has to move, and our Fort Lauderdale team usually has one written flat figure back to you before the day is out.

Or call (888) 278-9005

Press send and what you typed drops straight onto a desk inside our Fort Lauderdale office, where your written rate gets worked up and sent back, usually landing with you before the day is out. Asking for that figure costs you nothing and ties you to nothing — take all the time you need with it, because the call to book or walk away is fully yours. The person putting your quote together is one of our own estimators and nobody else, and what you tell us goes no further than that desk.

Loading and unloading help

Maybe the rental truck is booked, or a pod sits in your Plantation driveway, and all that is missing is the labor. You keep the rental and the destination; our W-2 crew brings the muscle, filling or emptying that truck, pod, or container by the hour, the heavy carrying the only piece that lands on us.

Loading principles our crew works to

Packing a rental so it rides right comes down to a handful of rules, and our movers arrive with the dollies, straps, and pads, plus the years of practice that put them to use. Have the truck or pod on site and that is the whole of your end.

  • Heavy and boxy items go on first, the weight set over the axle for a steady haul up I-95
  • Every piece padded and tied down so nothing shifts on the Turnpike or over Alligator Alley
  • At the far end, carried up the staircase or into the tower elevator and set in the right room
  • Tier and tie the load so the dresser never rides on the lamps for 200 miles
  • A storage unit or pod stacked clever enough to swallow the whole load and still close

We tier and tie it so your dresser is not riding on the lamps halfway up the Turnpike. Movers who load Broward rentals day in and day out pack a tighter wall and unload faster on the far end than any last-minute scramble manages.

Who books us

Most callers have already lined up a truck or pod and just need bodies on one end or both. Some drive themselves but will not wrestle furniture up the narrow Victoria Park stairs; others want a Davie pod stacked tight for the run north. Plenty of jobs are load-only or unload-only.

How the hours work

Billing is by the hour, $140/hr for two movers, on a two-hour minimum. Before a box is touched, you get an honest read on the hours, and the meter waits to start until our crew is working in your home, not the second the truck leaves our Fort Lauderdale yard. Padded hours are not how we operate.

Loaded to ride safe

Before the carrying starts we lay floor runners and pad the doorframes, the small step that keeps a scuffed jamb from costing you the deposit. Same Fort Lauderdale crew, same care as a full move, narrowed to the one piece you want a hand with. Got a piano? Ask for the specialist crew and we board it first.

Part of the job

What the crew handles

  • Our W-2 crew by the hour to load or unload your rental truck, pod, or container

  • The heavy, boxy items on first, the weight riding over the axle for a steady haul

  • Pads, dollies, and straps brought along so nothing slides on I-95 or the Turnpike

  • A carry up a tight staircase or into the tower elevator, each piece set in its room

  • Runners put down and doorframes shielded so the old place keeps its deposit

  • A one-end-only option, just the loading or just the unloading, whenever that is all it takes

  • An hourly rate of $140/hr for two movers, on a two-hour minimum

  • An honest read on the hours, the meter holding until the crew is genuinely working

Hourly-Rate Crews

Starting from$120/hr

Wrapped into that Fort Lauderdale hourly rate from the start: a two-mover team on a three-hour minimum, the truck pulled up at your building, and all the equipment that comes along — quilted pads, straps, ramps, dollies, and the floor runners we lay down over the tile and hardwood you find in a condo or single-story home. None of that turns up later as an extra charge, because all of it is already folded into the figure we quote you.

The guys showed up on time. Got the work done for the proposed cost. We're very friendly and professional the entire time. The price was very good compared to renting a truck and doing the work myself. Would highly recommend.

A free estimate, handled by our own movers

Tell us what you are working with. In Fort Lauderdale that could mean coaxing a baby grand out of a high-rise condo or guiding an upright down a narrow stairwell — and however the day unfolds, one W-2 crew carries it from the first box to the last while the written rate holds steady throughout.

Questions that come up a lot

Good to know before the truck rolls

Will you load my rental for me?
Glad to. You supply the truck, pod, or container; we supply the hourly crew. The big, heavy pieces load first so the weight rides balanced over the axle for a steady run up I-95 and the Turnpike, and everything after that is padded and strapped down so nothing slides on the road.
What does an hour of crew labor run?
Two movers go for $140 an hour, on a two-hour minimum. You will hear an honest hour estimate before any piece gets lifted, and we hold off starting the meter until the crew is actually working in your home rather than from the moment the truck pulls out of the yard. Nobody pads the hours here.
Will you carry items up a staircase or into a high-rise?
Of course. When the unload lands at a Victoria Park staircase or an Intracoastal tower, the crew hauls everything up the stairs or into the freight elevator and places it room by room. Floor runners and padded doorframes come standard on every carry, and that is the protection that keeps your old place from clawing back the deposit. A tower job means we will need the building COI and a reserved elevator window.
Can you load a piano onto my rental?
We can, and you will want the specialist crew for it. Tell us there is a piano and Victor boards and wraps it before anything else goes on, then sets it where the weight rides safe for the haul. We never let a piano go on a rental loose or unboarded, no matter who is doing the driving.
