Pricing a Broward condo or high-rise move
A multi-unit move plays by a different rulebook than a house, and around Fort Lauderdale the condos and towers we price split into two types whose numbers barely resemble each other.
Two jobs sharing a name
The walk-up sits two or three floors above the entrance in a Wilton Manors or Victoria Park building; cost rides on the flights, the tight landing turns, and a long carry from the lot.

Why the high-rise rarely wins
An elevator should beat a walk-up since no one hauls a couch up stairs, but the building’s rules often eat the savings. Intracoastal and Las Olas towers routinely ask for:
- A Certificate of Insurance on file before move day, which Carla pulls so the desk or gate never turns the crew around.
- A booked freight-elevator slot. Most towers hand you a two-to-three-hour block and start the clock when it opens; run past it and your crew waits or comes back another day.
- A named loading point. The freight dock or rear service door is usually the only way furniture is allowed in, and your move sits inside a posted slot management counts to the minute.
Pianos in the tower
A grand or baby grand up to a high-rise unit is our specialty: boarded, padded, and walked into the freight elevator by our own specialist. Piano flat rates run $250 – $450 for an upright, $450 – $750 for a baby grand, and $650 – $1,200 for a full grand, on top of the unit move.

The crew is our own W-2 movers, never temp help, with Nicole Foster lining up the COI and freight-elevator window. By federal rule your default is released-value protection of 60 cents per pound; add full-value protection for roughly 1 to 3 percent of the value you declare.
